CODE OF ETHICS

As a public relations young professional, I make a promise to myself and those around me that I will lead with transparency, courage, and empathy. I will treat others as I wish to be treated, despite any outlying circumstances. I highly value building meaningful relationships and creating a positive impact on others around me. I will push for equality and will spread respect for diverse cultures and demographics and encourage others around me to do the same. I will be courteous of others’ feelings around me and be empathetic in my interactions.

I will be honest and transparent in my personal and professional life. I will not withhold information that could hurt or damage a reputation. I will be dedicated to being completely transparent with my professional work and any projects I am involved in. Although I’m granted privacy in my personal life, I will not go against my personal beliefs in any career I am present in. By being transparent, I will create many meaningful relationships and high levels of trust with others surrounding me. Developing a solid foundation of trust in my relationships is a priority for me.

I will join a team that is inclusive and supportive of all races, ethnicities, cultures, orientations, beliefs, etc. Strength lies within diversity, so surrounding myself with others of different cultures and identities will allow me to grow culturally affluent. Additionally, I will always push myself to continue learning and growing. By choosing to lead a life with my personal beliefs and virtues, I will thrive and continue to grow daily.

Finally, I will keep my promises to myself and honor my beliefs. Despite the difficult situations, I may find myself in, I will always fall back on my code of ethics to remain transparent and respectful to myself and others around me. I will walk away from any commitment that asks me to be disingenuous. My moral compass will guide me through any situations involving myself, my profession, and my commitments.
